My name is Nick Brennfleck, or “Mr. Nick” and I will be teaching your children at the first, second, and third grade levels. I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to new and returning families of Whispering Palms School.
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, or as it’s more affectionately known, The City of Champions! I attended college at Indiana University of Pennsylvania where I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading acquisition skills. During my time at IUP, I also competed as a 4 year NCAA Track and Field athlete, running in both sprint and mid-distance events. To this day, I still enjoy involvement in running events whether it is as a coach or spectator. After graduation, I began my career teaching 1st grade at Cougar Elementary School in Manassas Park, Virginia. In 2009, I earned my Master’s of Teaching from George Mason University. The IET program (Initiatives in Educational Transformation) focused on preparing teachers and students for learning in the 21st century classroom by implementing multicultural education and modern day practices, while incorporating the latest technology. In 2013, my wife and I moved to Saipan and I began teaching 4th grade at William S. Reyes Elementary School before being recruited to teach the 3rd and 4th grade class here at WPS for the past two years. I look forward to my 13th year teaching and getting a chance to work with each one of your children this school year! While not in school, I enjoy working out, traveling, cooking, and spending time with my wife, Shawna and our young son, Brayden. |
